In my world, a world where I strive to always see things through the lens of Loving Awareness, I have to say I don’t know why or how this could have ever been a question.
For anyone reading this who may be questioning what it is I’m writing about, you must be a lot like me and stay far, far away from any mainstream news sources! Even I couldn’t miss this story! It cannot be contained…and it’s GOOD news, so yeah… I’m all about that!

In a long-sought victory for the gay rights movement, the Supreme Court ruled by a 5-to-4 vote on Friday (June 26, 2015) that the Constitution guarantees a right to same-sex marriage.
“No longer may this liberty be denied,” Justice Anthony M. Kennedy wrote for the majority in the historic decision. “No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were.”
Here are my 11 Reasons why this nation (finally) got it right:
- Love always wins!
- Love is a power beyond any boundaries, laws, limitations.
- Love IS.
- Love is the answer. (…and suddenly there are no questions, only love)
- Love is the way.
- Love unites. (…it doesn’t separate, it doesn’t judge, it doesn’t discriminate)
- Love is Truth.
- Love is kind.
- Love is real.
- Love transcends.
- Love is LOVE.
I could go on… But, 11 is such a nifty number, isn’t it?
When we navigate and operate from a state of Loving Awareness, issues, differences, things that propose to separate us just dissipate, soften, and even vanish, when we allow space for that to be.
In Loving Awareness, it doesn’t mean we all have to be the same. It doesn’t mean we always have to agree. It means that in Loving Awareness we choose a mutual honoring and respect for all sentient beings. It means we choose to see LOVE first…and we filter everything through that love.
This LOVE I write about is not the kind of love we often think of or refer to of course. It’s bigger. MUCH BIGGER.
It’s LOVE. The kind that’s a pure, nectarous super-power. The kind that is undeniable, unconditional and just plain delicious. It’s nameless, formless, indescribable…
And the best part? It’s a limitless, completely sustainable, renewable resource, infinite in supply. It can’t be bought or sold. It can only BE. And we ALL have it…and can share it…and BEAM it for all the world to experience.
Love is LOVE. Plain and simple.
I celebrate this amazing day that will go down in history as an epic victory for equality for all.
And more than anything, I look forward to the day when our children’s children grow up and just get married if they feel inspired to do so…and there will be no mention of gay marriage or any other kind of marriage. It’s just union. It’s marriage. And it’s all about LOVE.
It’s just that simple.
