Wintering with Loving Awareness

In many ways, on many levels, the last nearly two years feel like a long, long winter to me. I’ve befriended winter more every year. Now, I’ve grown so close to her I’m not sure I will know how to spring and summer when the ‘time’ comes! This book, “Wintering – the power of rest and retreat in difficult times” by @katherinemay_ read like Katherine was peering into my heart and peeking through my windows. She is a soul friend. Moreover, reading Katherine’s words helped to affirm with poetic clarity and validation the experience of these precious times and the conscious choice I’m making day by day, breath by breath, to see and embrace it all … The shadows, the pain, the grief, the disillusionment, the memories that keep surfacing to be seen, and so much more … Along with the beauty, grace, sweetness, love, joy, and magical epiphanies and soul-expanding leaps!

Wintering with conviction, with Presence, on purpose with no need for purpose as it pertains to expectation or productivity, silly subscriptions to socialized norms that never fit … Consciously choosing to Be, to witness, to slow down, to inquire within, to quiet more, to listen, to allow, to shed, release and let go … Wintering. Unwinding. More. More. More. Yet more.reCycling. Wintering on Purpose. ReBirth, inevitable. It’s all a gift. Feeling exceptionally grateful for this well-timed book. Highly recommend it to everyone … Especially all those who’ve been journeying in Session work with me the last couple of years! Winters come when they do. Embrace and expand … All in our own time and love.
